The Fjallraven trekking tights are a great compromise for everyone that is looking for hiking pants that fit your legs closely but are not too tight.

These comfortable trekking tights are great for outdoor activities such as hiking, trekking, backpacking, fat biking, and trail running.

Kris wearing the Fjallraven Hiking tights with reinforced knees and rear
Thanks to the waterproof reinforced rear you don’t have to worry about wearing out or damaging your tights when taking a break

Here’s Kris’ opinion of these tights:

I wore my Fjallraven‘s during a 4-hour hike when it was 30 degrees Fahrenheit.  Although I’m usually quickly cold, the tights kept me warm the whole time. Although these tights are not fleece-lined they are still a good option in these colder temperatures as long as you stay active.

They are true to size. I ordered a size M which fits perfectly although I would have preferred them to be a bit longer.

I like the rough pads on the knees and the seat.  These give the tights a more butchy look and at the same time, they will reduce wear.  These pads are also waterproof which means you shouldn’t worry about sitting down to take a break, even if the stones, tree, or bench is still wet from an earlier downpour.

The button and belt loops make the tights look a little more like pants, given them some more appeal to a manly audience.

I always put most of my stuff in a backpack and the side pockets are all I need to carry those things that I use the most during a hike such as my mobile phone and a small map.  The pockets aren’t as generously sized as those in hiking leggings but I think that is a good thing rather than a bad.  They ensure that all bulky and more heavy items go in the backpack, giving you more flexibility.

These tights aren’t cheap but after several hikes, I’m completely sold. The tights feel very durable and I’m sure I will be wearing them for a long time.
